from models import Challenge

all_challenges = Challenge.select()

Challenge = Challenge.create(name='Booleans', language='Ruby')

sorted_challenges = Challenge.select().order_by(Challenge.steps)

You are assigning your Challenge.create() to Challenge not sure what is happening in the background, but your import has the same name. since your not actually using the variable you can just remove it.

Challenge = Challenge.create(name='Booleans', language='Ruby')

#instead use
Challenge.create(name='Booleans', language='Ruby')
