Changing from POST to GET and creating a link... Good idea?

In the video, Randy Hoyt changes the code that is using POST to create just an HTML link using GET...

My question: Does this not open yourself up to a whole lot of potential security issues, especially since you are linking to a PayPal shopping cart which is linked to your business account and your website?

PayPal encrypts this code by default to begin with for a reason, right?
