Changing Page control background color to Transparent

Hi all,

I have created a page-based view application which has a page control (dots) at the bottom so when user swipes, they know what page they are on.

My problem is that the page control seems to have a background bar which a white background. How do I:

  1. Make the background color transparent? pageControl.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; doesnt work

  2. Change the height of the page control (right now I estimated to be about 36 pixels? Would like to be about 20 pixels)

Thanks!
