Checkboxes with Custom ListView on Android

I've searched a ton, but can only find partial answers. Does anyone have some good sample code or links for creating a custom listview with checkboxes in Android? I need to be able to save or delete the checked items to a database. Thanks!

We cover this in the Self-Destructing Message app, but I don't know if it's exactly what you need. You may need to piece it together from separate videos. We set up a ListView with checkboxes in the Relating Users stage where we check and uncheck friends from a list of users. We then talk about creating custom list layouts later in the project.
