Chrome Extensions

I'm very interested in creating a chrome extension, but I have no idea how to begin! I have completed the basic web design programs, and I am moving on to more html and css related courses here, but are there any courses specifically about extension development? Have any of you got any experience with this?

Any help would be appreciated

Yes I understand I am very new to this, but I have studied html and CSS outside of treehouse aswell. I don't believe making a simple chrome extension is really an impossible task either.
