You're right, Chrome does have a grid element inspector. There are a many Chrome DevTools materials at the moment on Treehouse, but I don't think any of them are about grid inspection specifically like this Firefox lesson is. Though, If you look in the teacher's notes of that video you'll see that there is a link to the Chrome DevTool grid inspector and grid highlighter features.
I don't think there's currently a plan to add any material about this purely going by the "Upcoming Releases" in the library. If that's something that you think should be added I would encourage you to reach out to help@teamtreehouse.com. Treehouse is built to be a community so if you have a suggestion, it's a good idea to let them know!
