clearing of the 4th list item

I used nth child to clear 4th list item in my css code. This works for the time when the screen width is in 480px - 500px range. But again at about 1000px mark the list elements go out of their way and become unorganised.

Hey, there was a really error in code causing this problem and it was resolved. Thanks for your help anyways. PS: I was using a space between nth-child and parenthesis, i.e. #gallery li:nth-child (4n). This was causing the error.
