click on localwp.com/wordpress and do not arrive at the set-up page for credential input i get local host not working

Working through the local instal of wordpress to develop locally.

1) mamp points to sites>localwp 2) fresh wordpress installed into localwp 3) new database setup in phpadmin 4) user has access to all the things 4) go to click on localhost/localwp.com/wordpress and arrive at

"the local host page is not working localhost is currently unable to handle this request http error 500"

what gives ?

When you "install" wordpress you need to pull all of the contents of the WP folder into the contents of your folder for whatever you are working on. The files cant be nested into the first folder.
