Yes that's how it's done.

A client request from a server. Then server sends back the request. Pretend it's like your a customer you request food and then the server sends you back food.

I hope the helps. Pretend food is like website request. You have web browser. You type in www . com something. Then the server sends back the web page from www request.

Thank i had typed the write information but had a missed spelled word it did not take my answer. So i thought i had gotten the wrong understand when i went back because it was resent back to take exam over i noted the error. thank you for the redirect of information very helpful.
