So I have pretty much full hearing as an adult but I was deaf till I was four and occasionally if I'm just listening to someone talk, especially if I'm supposed to be watching them do something else, its really hard to get my brain to digest the information. Since I can't sit in a classroom and read the teacher's lips, is there a way to turn closed captioning on on these videos?

As a matter of fact, there is.
All videos should have closed captions, however there is about a week lead time. If a video has been out a few weeks you can send an email to help@teamtreehouse.com to let them know about the issue.

1,675 PointsWow, I'm a dork, thanks so much, that's makes this SO much easier. BTW when you download the standard definition video of the Simple Refactoring lesson, THV2-AndroidArchipelago-Stage02-Video05-360, the video cuts out at 9:49;00, it just continues with a soundless freeze frame till the end of the video.

Send an email to help@teamtreehouse.com with the details and they will make sure it gets to the right people to get that fixed up.
