The images in the preview are not showing up. Does that mean I need to do something else?

Hi Sara,

You don't have to create background repeatedly in each URL. Another errors are semi-coma (;) and dashes (-) for each positions, we can remove semi-coma for just coma and remove dashes.

.sketch {
  background: url('img/pencil.png') no-repeat bottom left,
  url('img/smiley.png') no-repeat top right,
  url('img/texture.jpg') #EED293;
}

Hi! This will get you through:

.sketch {
background: url('img/pencil.png') no-repeat fixed bottom left, 
url('img/smiley.png') no-repeat fixed top right,
url("img/texture.jpg") #EED293;
}

Your problem was that "top-right" should be written "top right" and that you can´t set multiple background properties. You can just simply put a comma to separate them. Good luck!
