Why won't this code work. I have been stuck here for a couple of hours. is this a bug or am I overlooking something?

You can't have "px" after a zero. The code won't run. Try this:

box-shadow: 0 2px 15px #aaa, inset 0 0 60px 5px firebrick;

I had tried it both ways multiple times, treehouse finally accepted the code after I accidently navigated away from the page and was forced to start the challenge over from the beginning. I will remember not to put a px with zero thanks.
