Code challenge check answer issue.

Im having an issue with the answer to this code challenge. I'm sure I typed it out correctly, however it denies my answer, and says "I don't see the message 'a is not greater then b'..."

Do I need to input a different method then alert? What could be the issue?

Thank you for the help

script.js
var a = 10;
var b = 20;
var c = 30;

if (a > b) {
  alert("a is greater then b")
} else {
  alert("a is not greater then b")
}

It's just a spelling issue. Change "then" to "than".

The challenge is being particular about spelling.

:point_right: You must spell the word "than" with an "a" (not "then").

Your problem is due to some typos- you typed 'then' instead of 'than'. Here is the code, I cleaned it up a bit:

var a = 10;
var b = 20;
var c = 30;

if(a > b)
  alert("a is greater than b");
else
  alert("a is not greater than b");
