Code Challenges for Beginners

Hey guys,

I'm just starting out in coding. I went through the "Build Your Own Website" course and now in the "CSS Foundations" course.

The course Nick did was well put together I thought mainly because you could build the site along with him, giving you first-hand experience.

The new course with Guil I'm afraid is going to leave my temporary memory mainly because there is really nothing to do with it. He is unloading a ton of CSS knowledge in each video, but then there is really nothing for you to do with it.

Are there challenges that are here that can help us retain some of this knowledge? I don't want to go through the course just to forget 85% of it in a month or two.

Thanks for your help!

Your best bet is to work on small projects and use the information you learn in the videos. No matter how much is in the challenges, you most likely won't remember most of it unless you start to use it. I make tons of little projects on my computer that will never see the internet. I do this to make sure I keep my skills sharp and in my memory.

Also, use these videos as a starting point but there's nothing wrong with going to W3C and looking up something that you may have forgotten. Look it up enough and at some point you won't have to look it up anymore.
