Code Friendly Keyboard for ios and android ?

Hi everyone !

This is a punt in the hope that an app developer or @ryancarson can help.

Ive been using treehouse for a while and like to get involved with the forum on my mobile and take a gander through some posts.

I'm just thinking a dedicated forum app for mobile with a possible syntax friendly keyboard of some sort might go down well.

It would be great to know if a couple more people would be interested in using this app or if im way off on this one ......

Hi Craig,

Ive been wanting that very same thing for a while now, i think it would be a great idea for a treehouse course, building a iOS keyboard app for coding.
As luck would have it, today i downloaded an iOS keyboard called CodeMonKeys.
Its available for iPhone and iPad.
You can choose which languages to type in, including html, css, java, js and a couple more i think.
One of the cool things about it is that it has what it calls a Scratch Pad, that is a blank page for you just to write your code in.
I haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet but it looks promising, there were one or two others, but they were really bad and full of advertisements and in app purchases to unlock features.

I don't understand why other developers haven't beaten us to this .... if I tag Ryan Carson properly this time , maybe he will help us out with this especially with the size of all the new Iphones / Android phones out there this would be great.

I love how the app you have suggested lets you choose between language specific keyboards too, thats a great idea!

Might be pushing my luck but if it saved any code snippets we had created straight to workspaces that would be amazing .....

I think this is a step toward a great app and a great feature for treehouse so even though I've not undertaken any iOS or android development maybe Ben Jakuben is the man to help us !!
