Code Oregon students: Worksytems, Inc. posted a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Code Oregon Tech Mentors on Startup Switchboard on March 5, 2015. RFP submissions closed March 16, 2015. The WorkSource Oregon open computer lab schedule in the document was different from the current schedule, which was updated on March 20, 2015. (The current WorkSource Oregon open computer lab schedule for Code Oregon students is posted on http://www.portandtech.org.) I notified Worksystems, Inc. & David Duncan of WorkSource Oregon that Worksystems, Inc. should amend their RFP to include the current WorkSource Oregon open computer lab schedule for Code Oregon students so all Code Oregon students have this opportunity available to them.

25,941 PointsYou're welcome. Just trying to keep on top of this subject so Code Oregon students are in the loop of what's happening. This RFP was released February 23, 2015 & is to be funded April 2015-December 2015. Of course, Code Oregon students should still use the Team Treehouse forum when they need help with their tracks. The WorkSource Oregon open computer labs are places to work on your Code Oregon track on your own without interruptions from other job seekers.
Still no word yet on when the Career Fair is supposed to occur. I haven't heard anything since October 24, 2014.

8,747 PointsIt seems to me like the job fair keeps moving to "in a couple of months". I heard about October, then supposedly January, then ?
I really wish it would happen soon! I need a job!

25,941 PointsSharon Smith: David M. Duncan of WorkSource Oregon told me he would notify me as soon as he knows when a career fair for Code Oregon students will occur. It's a collaborative effort between Worksystems, Inc., WorkSource Oregon, & Team Treehouse. We just need to be patient & let them coordinate their efforts to arrange it.
Watch for Code Oregon Tech Mentors at your WorkSource Oregon open computer labs per the schedule on www.portlandtech.org.
