You have it set so that it only clears the fourth, not every fourth. So:

@media (min-width: 480px) {
  #gallery li {
    width: 28.3333%;
  }
  #gallery li:nth-child(4n+4) {
  width:28.3333%;
    clear: left;
  }

}

Alternatively, simply putting:

#gallery li:nth-child(4n) {

works as well.
