Code works, but "undefined" appears above the html output on the page.

Everything works - the loop, the conditional statement, and the output using the document.write function.

For some reason though, "undefined" appears above the html that is written to the page. I can't figure out why.

Inside your quiz.js change line 11 to

var html="";

It will create empty String variable. And in line 30 you will add content to this variable.
