Codepen Alternatives?

A TreeHouse colleague recommended I use codepen to start practicing some of the html/css I've learned. I wouldn't mind signing up, however if there is another free alternative, I'd rather not shell out an extra $10 per month (funds are tight.. just bought a new laptop).

Looking for a place to practice web development and save my work, as an alternative to Workspaces and CodePen

codepen is free? you don't have to pay for it. the 10 dollar is to hide your code.

Or you can look into cheap shared hosting. To play with php servers

Other alternatives to codepen would be jsFiddle and CSSDeck

You can also get into git and save your code on sites like bitbucket and gitlab which both provide private repos for free.

thanks guys!

No problem. Happy coding.
