Coding challenge task

can someone please explain to me where I've gone wrong?

GoKart.java
public class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private String mColor;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }

  public void drive() {
    drive(1);
    try {
      drive(9);
  }   catch (IllegalArgumentException iae) {
      System.out.println("not enough battery remains.");
    }
  }

  public void drive(int laps) {
    // Other driving code omitted for clarity purposes
    mBarsCount -= laps;
  }

  public void charge() {
    while (!isFullyCharged()) {
      mBarsCount++;
    }
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return mBarsCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return mBarsCount == MAX_BARS;
  }
}

In this challenge we are the ones throwing the exception for someone else to catch. Instead of using a try/catch we need to use throw.

  1. We should be working in drive(int laps), not drive(). drive() without arguments should stay the same.
  2. Before we do anything with the battery level, we should check if the number of laps exceeds our battery level.
  3. If it does, we throw an IllegalArgumentException.
  4. If not, we reduce the battery level as before.
