CollectionView - fadeout and in effect

I have a collection view with items. works very nice. my collection view is not fullscreen, is about 300pt in height and in the middle of screen.

is it possible to somehow detect when a "row of item" are disappearing or coming in .. and add some fadeOut / in effect ??
