color appearing different than specified

I chose a blue shade for my header background and typed in the color code #599a68 for nav background. But instead of showing the greenish shade it shows grey color. what could be the possible reason for it?

I'd have to see the code to go with the hexadecimal value but value seems correct.

Is it being overridden by another background value in your code? Perhaps a typo? Would you be able to post your code?

Thank you for the answer Jonathan. You are right. It was being overridden by another background value in my code. My problem is solved.
