Comments, Contact Forms not working at all

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing a problem and I just cannot work it out. For some reason, comments and also contact forms (I'm using Gravity Forms), just don't work. At all. Nothing happens when you click submit (not even validation for Gravity Forms).

I just cannot wrap my head around what the problem might be. I'm running locally with MAMP.

Thanks heaps in advance.

Nathan,

does the same behavior happen if you change themes? It might help you narrow down whether the problem is specific to the current theme.

Thanks so much for this.

Yeah, other themes seem to be working fine. What would that mean? It's a custom theme I made.

Cheers, Nate.

Hi Nate,

I'm not a developer, but my guess is that you have an issue with one of your custom theme files. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable than I can assist.

If you built your theme based on another theme, I might try to do a code compare between the two. It's probably just one file. Maybe you could use something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/what-the-file/ to isolate the file.
