Communication between Treehouse Students Possible Solution.

Alright fellow Treehouse students this idea has been burning in my brain for awhile and I think I've stumbled upon a solution. Of how we can communicate with each other on any topic and just get to know one another better in this great journey we are all experiencing.

Hi La, Treehouse is experimenting with a mentoring feature. It looks like it will use Slack as well, and still in the early stages for students of the Code Oregon project. Depending on how well things go, I'll assume it will go live for everyone in the near future.

Yes I agree. I hope so too, and this could possibly be an alternative until then. That way we empower the students in a way that they can feel comfortable enough in reaching out to each other, get familiar with each others personal journey, and ask quick questions LIVE at any time.

BTW: As for the link that's where its hosted but because I don't have a specific domain to link it to. The hack for now is I have to invite people ... so if interested just post your email below please.

Thank You :-)

Hey Nancy King maybe you can let people know a little bit more about how the project with Code Oregon is going – I remember you talking about using Slack to put people into teams.

Teams at Treehouse seems like a powerful idea the more I think about it. Imagine premade teams that already work well together. I think companies would be all over that, wanting to pick people up as a package. Very original idea. I would pay top dollar for something like this had I owned a company needing developers. Teaching people to work well together in the early stages is hard work and a learned skill.
