Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Introduction to Your Tools

Compile Exercise in workspace_Basic Java course

Do we need to download separate IDE software to go along with the exercise in the workspace practice? Look like instructor not discuss nor show us how to establish the "class" for java to run the compile of that particular exercise. Are your purpose is to let us watch the course video only without running the Java practice? Please advise.

Hello!

While some more advanced courses require you to use an IDE, those like Java Basics don't require any tool besides the Workspace (a tool that Treehouse provides you).

Hope it helped!
