Java Java Objects Creating the MVP Remaining Characters

compiler error

public static final int MAX_CHARS = 140; why am I getting compiler error for the above code?

1 Answer

I think it's an issue with their editor as I couldn't pass it either. You have the statement correct and I was able to compile the class locally just fine. Remove the 'public' access modifier from the class to continue the challenge.

I used this to pass the first challenge.

class Tweet {
  public static final int MAX_CHARS = 140;
  private String text;

}
