Compiler Error...plz Help

Can anyone explain me my logical error? Thanks in advance

GoKart.java
public class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
  private String mColor;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }

  public void charge() {
    mBarsCount = MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return mBarsCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }

  while(!GoKart.isFullyCharged()){
    mBarsCount++;
  }

}

1 Answer

Almost! But the while needs to be inside the charge() method:

  public void charge() {
    while (!isFullyCharged()) {
      mBarsCount++;
    }
  }

The way you have it the compiler thinks you are trying to write a method -- which cannot start with while.

Also, when you call non-static methods you don't use a class name to call them. And in the same class, you don't have any prefix at all.
