conditional not working

Can anyone figure out why this conditional is not working?

var a = 10;
var b = 20;
var c = 30;
if (a > b) {
  alert('a is greater than b');
} else {
  ('a is not greater than b');

('a is not greater than b');
This is your problem. must be like this alert('a is not greater than b');

You forgot to use alert in the else clause.

alert('a is not greater than b');
