Connecting with designers and developers

How to connect with other designers and developers around the world to keep up in the industry.

Hey Abdullah,

You should have a look at some of the social networking sites out their for Designers and Developers.

Some of the ones I use are:

Design:

  • Dribbble
  • Forrst
  • Designer News

Developer:

  • GitHub
  • Stackoverflow
  • Codesnipp.it
  • Geekli.st

This is only the ones I use. There are plenty of others out there. My favourite is probably GitHub, you can share your projects and code, fork (clone) other people's projects and work on them and have fun.

Hope this helps

You're welcome. Was this what you were looking for Abdullah Mohamed?

John Steer-Fowler not really, I was actually looking for a more friendly way to see new things in the industry something like twitter but not actually twitter

I'm not actually aware of anything like Twitter but for Dev/Designers. If you find something like this I would love to get involved.

The only things I could recommend are HackerNews and DesignerNews. I often frequent these sites, with HackerNews being my favourite.

The only problem is, HN isn't just for developers, it's a technology news sharing site run by the Startup incubator YCombinator.

Let me know if you find something good

Thanks John Steer-Fowler and I will let you know as soon as I get any information.
