Cool effect from an unexpected place

Not sure how I stumbled on it but check out this cool scrolling effect on McDonald's website. Looks like they're using jQuery but I haven't delved in.

It was all good until I scrolled down to the tea on the bench... Perspective is very important in my opinion, this just stands out as poor practice.

Sorry to be so negative, yet its my only critique.

I believe it is referred to Parallex scrolling... canny effect but rediculous download time!

Speaking of neat visual effects, has anyone checked out the Fantasy Land website Nick talked about in this blog post? http://ow.ly/gFecO

I could mouse my cursor over the banner endlessly for hours and never stop being entertained. Woosh woosh woosh woosh.
