Copied exact code and get nothing. Console reports syntax error on line four. What am I doing wrong?

my code: var html = ' ';

for ( var i = 1; i <= 10; i += 1 ) { html += '<div>' + i + '</div>'>; } document.write(html);

console error message about line 4: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ;

Help is appreciated, thanks!
