i am wondering if students are allowed to use any of the work they create through tutorials on here on their portfolio sites?

Not sure that linking the terms is all that helpful given it's not a particularly short document. Quoting on the hand can to be useful.

Treehouse's video (and text) content is there own. And everything you write on the forum they are also licensed to use.

However, anything you create using their assets is your own intellectual property.

I would think about it like this:

If you follow the web developer course and remake the Smells Like Bakin website exactly how it is you couldn't use that.

If you follow the web developer course and make your own site using the information in the tutorials (so it may end up structured very similarly and with similar features to the Smells Like Bakin site but it would be your own work, your own graphics etc) then you could use that.
