PHP Object-Oriented PHP Basics (Retired) Properties and Methods Mid-Course Challenge

corresponding parameter variable

I am not getting this quiz. Assign each of the properties of the Fish class with its corresponding parameter variable.

I added lines 9,10,11 but this doesn't seem to work.

fish.php
<?php

class Fish {
  public $common_name;
  public $flavor;
  public $record_weight;

  function __construct($name,$flavor,$record){
    $this->name = $name;
    $this->flavor = $flavor;
    $this->record = $record;
  }

?>

Hi, Israel. You're very close. You need to make sure your public variable names match up with those inside your constructor (such as $this->variable). So, if you had public $new_variable, your constructor also has to use $this->new_variable.

class Fish { public $common_name; public $flavor; public $record_weight; public function __construct($name, $flavor, $record){ $this->name = $name; $this->flavor= $flavor; $this->record = $record; } }
