Python Object-Oriented Python Advanced Objects Proper Properties

Couldn't import Rectangle

Add a new property to the Rectangle class named area. It should calculate and return the area of the Rectangle instance (width * length).

rectangle.py
class Rectangle:
    def __init__(self, width, length):
        self.width = width
        self.length = length

    @area
    def area(self):
        return self.width*self.length
    @parameter
    def parameter(self):
        return (self.length*2)+(self.width*2)

Hi there, Shreya Tyagi ! The @area and @parameter are not valid decorators. You meant @property. You can erase the bottom 3 lines of your code for the first challenge.

The second step is asking for another @property and the name of the method should be perimeter which is different than parameter. Even though they only differ very little they have entirely different meanings.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
