Course suggestion for iOS developers & designers

I just completed the course Mobile App Design For iOS taught by Sarah Parmenter.

I have to say, in my opinion, this is a must course for anyone wanting to pursue a career in iOS development -- more so if you are focusing on Designing the App, but also for those who will be the developer.

While this course seems to be a little over 2 years old, and some of the versions are a bit out-of-date (though updated versions of software addressed in the course are available), the fundamentals, ideas, and core concepts are still very relevant and (in my opinion) essential to anyone involved with iOS development.

I strongly feel that this course (albeit older) should be a core part of the iOS track. So, if you are taking the iOS dev track... take a couple hours and complete this course. I really believe it will be more than worth it.

I agree how important design is for iOS. Good UI/UX design is equally as important as writing clean code. Apple has a strict curation process. That's why you rarely see a terrible looking app in the store. They hold their platform to a higher standard.

I recommend people also read Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for iOS

Thanks Jason

Thank you very much for the tip, Jason! :) I'm currently taking the iOS track and I probably wouldn't have considered doing this course as it's - like you already mentioned - a little over 2 years old and not part of the iOS track.

I just started it and it really seems to be interesting! I also agree that a course like this should be part of the iOS track as there are currently no courses that focus on the design of iOS apps.

Oh, and also thank you for the interesting link, Steven! :)
