Create a media query that sets the body element's background color to #FF6347 and its text color to white if the viewpor

Please tell me what I am doing work it keeps saying did you specify background color:

@media screen and (max-width: 768px) { body { background: #FF6347; color: white;} }

Sometimes the validation engines for the quizzes are picky.

Try background-color instead of just background. (Even though it would work in the wild)
