Create a new int variable that is named answer. Store the integer version of answerToLife in it.PLEASE help
String answerToLife = "42"; int age = (answerToLife);
You can't assign a
String (which is what
answerToLife holds) directly to an
int variable, you have to convert it to an
int first. One way of doing that is to use the
Integer.parseInt method that was demonstrated in the previous lecture.
That method takes a
String as an argument (the value you put into the parenthesis) and returns an
int version of the
int variable you create has to be named
age. The challenges are very strict about variable names having to match whatever the task specifies.
String answerToLife = "42"; int answer = Integer.parseInt(answerToLife);
