I love Treehouse and everything you guys are doing here. I've learned a lot going through and refreshing my memory on some subjects and learning a lot of completely new things.
However, knowledge doesn't seem to be enough. Employers of today want more than just you passing a few skill tests; they want proof and history of what you can and have done. I would love to see a learning adventure titled "the road to success" that includes a section where you create a portfolio.
It's just an idea. I still have a lot more to learn, but it would be nice to be able to create one soon, and be able to take the proper steps required to complete one.

4,393 PointsWell, in building a WordPress theme, Zac Gordon takes you through the steps of converting a HTML/CSS static site into a fully functioning WordPress website (easier to manage content that way).
And you can see how they built their portfolio, especially if you feel like downloading the project files.

39,199 PointsThere's a Career Foundations deep dive, which I think you will find interesting.
Also once you go through the HTML & CSS learning adventure, you should be able to make a portfolio site. Making a portfolio/business card style site is a great first website.
