So I am a newbie and using Woothemes Canvas Template. I want to create a custom post type "inventory" then I want to create a template for those posts to easily add information about them fast and keep all of them consistent through out.
I don't want to use WooCommerce because I don't want to have check out capabilities. I am a novice when it comes to php...but willing I am learning. Where do I begin to be able to do this?
Do I begin with a child theme? Are there good tutorials on this sort of thing?
