Creating an iOS App and a Website/webapp

Hi everyone,

I need some help. I would like to make an app and also a similar web app and be able to sync the 2 together. For instance, the idea was for a calorie counter/food tracker type app where I would register/create an account and be able to add my food but then be able to login on my website I create and all of the food/data I have added into the app transfers to the website. And also vise versa, if I add food or meals on the website I wan them to be able to sync to my app.

Would I have to use parse? What works with both swift and html/java/ruby?

You would need to create a website first (html), have a server side script to connect with your database (PHP) then that will return information to your website (html) and to your iphone app (swift) using JSON or XML format.
