I was having a problem with my background not updating in the Iphone Simulator in Xcode but I found how to resolve the problem in a previous post in these forums
Xcode has a cash that needs to be cleared this is why I was still viewing my old background instead of the updated
You can clear the cache by doing the flowing steps if you run into the same issue
Xcode ---> Product ----> Clean
or
Shift + Command + K
I will be clearing my cache more often because this seemed to fix a few other issues I was having with my app too.
