I'm using
self.quotes = [[NSArray alloc]initWithObjects:@"Haters gonna hate", @"It is decidedly so", @"Life is simple, not easy", @"Winners never quit, quitters never win", Nil];
self.quoteLabel.text = [self.quotes objectAtIndex:1];
I'm getting the error "Remember to assign the quote from the array to the property 'quoteLabel'.". Why?

42,016 Pointsyou have an extra string in there that is not supposed to be there
you need to have
self.quotes = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"Haters gonna hate", @"Life is simple, not easy", @"Winners never quit, quitters never win", nil];
self.quoteLabel.text = [self.quotes objectAtIndex:1];
however you have
self.quotes = [[NSArray alloc]initWithObjects:@"Haters gonna hate", @"It is decidedly so", @"Life is simple, not easy", @"Winners never quit, quitters never win", Nil];
self.quoteLabel.text = [self.quotes objectAtIndex:1];
it is decidely so does not belong in your array
