Crystal Ball Launch failure?

So, I'm doing the Crystal Ball App, following directions down to the letter. I'm on Windows, so I realize my Eclipse will be a little slower... but I got to this line on console, when the app is supposed to be auto viewable on the emulator: [2014-06-24 09:59:58 - CrystalBall] Starting activity com.example.crystalball.MainActivity on device emulator-5554 and it stops... where on the video the professor already has a next line, and he can see the app on the screen. I thought, maybe if I go to apps and tap the created app on the emulator, maybe it'll run... Sure, it started to but then it said Unfortunately, program has stopped. As if there's an error. I checked my work, no errors, other than the red lines the professor said was okay. I really would like to know why its not working correctly before I move on.

Hey, my tip for you would be to add a log and find where is the error.

simply add this

       Log.d("Testing", "Oncreate called");

Log.d("Testing", "... called");

inside of all methods you have on the java file.

Run the app and go to the logcat. type down any word youve written on the logs (Ex.: Testing or Called)

the problem is where the log doesnt show on the LogCat

it will help to specify where is the error.

I hope it helps for now, if you have any other issue ill be glad to help
