have you included it in the html file using a link tag?

Hi, YINBO LI. You sholud link to your stylesheet in this manner:

<head>
    <title>Some Title</title>
  <link rel="stylesheet" href="main.css">
  </head>
***

Maybe that you've forgotten to add rel="stylesheet". Without it stylesheet wouldn't work.

Check your spelling is correct to, and you have all your brackets ending!
