Anyone find that the CSS foundations (the original with Nick Petit) was really good!? I am a beginner and I couldn't follow the second one at all – it's really advanced for someone with no base knowledge :S

Treehouse TeacherHey everyone,
I apologize for any confusion this has caused. We definitely appreciate the feedback and Guil Hernandez is ultimately responsible for his own content, so he'll make any modifications that are necessary to make his material more clear and understandable.
I replied to this issue in another thread if you're interested in reading more detail, but if you were actively engaged in the old CSS videos and you'd still like to watch them instead of the newly updated material, please email help@teamtreehouse.com and they'll provide you with download links to the videos.

5,536 Pointsi recently did the original css and the css3 courses and found them to be well paced and easy to follow. Its quite a lot to take in and remember so deffo requires putting it into practice to absorb it all. A reason I did those when i knew the new course was coming was because Im going to go through the new course also to help me retain the info - not taken a look at the new one yet though so cant compare.

Courses Plus Student 2,551 PointsHey Francis:
I am doing the new css foundations and it is pretty in depth and more advanced I think. I started with Nick Petit on the original one but never finished it before it got retired. I get most of the new one but it is a little more difficult to follow and I just can't quite figure out the units (especially relative ones). All this stuff is so new to me but I will keep going at it.
It is a bit more advanced but I just wish they kept the original one with Nick as well!

2,758 PointsYeah I wish they kept the original one as well. No harm in having both tutorials on there, right? Like, a beginner and an advanced course.

1,842 PointsI agree the original one with Nick Petit is a lot easier to follow along. I wish they kept the original one too (or at least let you finish it before they retire it).

Treehouse TeacherHi there,
Thank you all for the valuable feedback.
As Nick mentioned, I am responsible for maintaining this content, so I'll be reevaluating a lot of it once I wrap up "CSS Foundations" to make sure the lessons are as clear as possible.
