CSS Improving padding and margin

I don't get the differences between padding and margin. I'd search for the definition but I still don't get it, anyone have idea how to improve ?

Look up the 'box model' for a good visual helper.

Basically padding is the space inside the content/element, and margin is the spacing outside an element.

Go to this link, http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_boxmodel.asp then click try it yourself and try changing some of the css padding and margin to see what happens!
