CSS selector 5/10 code challenge

Hi again, I am having an issue with the CSS selector 5/10 code challenge.

"Create a CSS Selector to make the h2 span have the background color white and text color black."

I get this error no matter how I do it: "Double check your CSS rules. We want the span inside of the h2."

h2 span { background: black; color: white;}

h2>span { background: black; color: white;}

Neither of those work. Any suggestions?

Looks like you got your colors swapped I think.

h2 span {background-color: white; color: black}
