did anybody else find this section torture to get through?! anyone have any sugestions as far as selectors go to help me get a better grasp. i feel like i got through the section but didnt retain much.

39,199 PointsI'd suggest you check out the selector section of Shay Howe's excellent Learn HTML & CSS guide
Then flesh out your knowledge with the tuts plus article on the 30 selectors you must memorize
Next I'd suggest you take on nth-child with nthmaster and this nth-child visual calculator
Finally, the best reference I've found on the topic is the Selector section on Sitepoint Reference

2,074 PointsThat section was a tough one. I went through it twice because I didn't feel like I really caught on the first time. I also discovered a good resource - the almanac in CSS-Tricks: http://css-tricks.com/almanac/. The explanations were often easier to understand than the site mentioned in the notes, and it makes a good reference.
