So, I am trying to create an app for my university and one of the features I want to include is a map with GPS capability. However, I want to include the labels of the buildings and this is unavailable via Google Maps. I saw on another Universities app (UNSW) that they used what seems like a jpg picture with all the building labels and it also has GPS functionality when you are standing on the campus. I have a jpg photo of my university that has labels like the photo below but how they used the picture and create a usable map out of it is beyond me.
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction in creating this custom map for my iOS app.
Thank you.
