Custom Menu Development in Wordpress Course

Are the course files for this course current? Are they compatible with the current WP version?

When I load the theme Zac has on the download page for this course I get a discombobulated presentation when activated. The theme looks nothing like the one Zac presents on the video (the content .xml uploaded fine however, and I just dragged the images to my media folder).

Actions taken: I dragged the theme in the subfolder of the download folder to my installed wordpress wp content (as usual). Activated the theme (purple BS logo on front).

So far, I've already done this twice. Also wiping the database clean and starting from scratch. This isn't new territory. I'm familiar with the standard 5 min load process.

On a desperate third try, I replaced the theme's Bootstrap CSS, JS to the latest download. No joy either (same names for functions.php so didn't have to change that). I thought perhaps it would be more compatible with the current version of WordPress. In hindsight, I've hit a wall.

Appreciate all help. Really want to take this course to become a menu making expert ( :

Thanks, Robert

Please disregard request for assistance above (as I haven't figured how to delete my original request).

Solution: I manually configured all the static menus and template files to the pages. I also added the widgets manually. Of course now it looks the same as Zac's vid. Glad I took the template course ( ; Thanks in advance to anyone who had to read above. Got 'r done.
